Da quando la street artist Alice Pasquini, classe 1980, ha portato la sua creatività a Civitacampomarano, il borgo si è trasformato in un museo di arte a cielo aperto. 

Ma facciamo un passo indietro. 

Civitacampomarano è un suggestivo borgo del Molise, immerso in un’area verdissima. Chi lo visita non può che rimanerne affascinato. Sfortunatamente negli anni ha conosciuto un fortissimo spopolamento, complice la sua lontananza dai principali centri economici. Man mano le case sono rimaste disabitate e nel borgo sono rimaste poco più di quattrocento anime. 

È così che AliCè, come ama firmare le sue opere, è stata contattata dalla Proloco Vincenzo Cuoco: portare i suoi colori a Civitacampomarano e ridare un nuovo volto al paese. Nasce così, a partire dal 2016, l’ambizioso progetto Cvtà Street Fest: artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo animano il borgo con la loro arte impressa sui muri. 

Since street artist Alice Pasquini, class of 1980, brought her creativity to Civitacampomarano, the village has been transformed into an open-air art museum. 

But let’s take a step back. 

Civitacampomarano is a charming village in Molise, surrounded by lush greenery. Those who visit it cannot help but be fascinated by it. Unfortunately, over the years it has experienced a very strong depopulation, complicit in its remoteness from the main economic centers. Gradually the houses have become uninhabited and there are little more than four hundred souls left in the village. 

This is how AliCè, as she likes to sign her works, was contacted by Proloco Vincenzo Cuoco: to bring her colors to Civitacampomarano and give the village a new face. This is how, starting in 2016, the ambitious Cvtà Street Fest project was born: artists from all over the world animate the village with their art imprinted on the walls. 

Ho colto l’occasione di un viaggio in giro per il Molise per visitare il borgo e scattare qualche foto. Inutile dirvi il mio stupore nel vedere pezzi di arte disseminati ovunque. A breve, dal 23 al 26 giugno, ci sarà la settima edizione del Cvtà Street Fest! Chi di voi avrà il piacere di andarci?

I took the opportunity of a trip around Molise to visit the village and take some photos. Needless to say, my amazement at seeing pieces of art scattered everywhere. Coming up soon, from June 23 to 26, is the seventh edition of Cvtà Street Fest! Which of you will have the pleasure of going?
